Analysis of the Excitation Spectra of Annular and Comb Arrays for Ultrasonic Guided Wave Applications

In this paper, theoretical analyses are conducted to determine the characteristics of the excitation spectra of annular array transducers. The excitation spectra are studied in both the wavenumber and wavelength domains, and relationships between linear phase delays and primary waveĀ¬length excitation are developed. The results are compared with those of linear comb transducers.
