Award Information
Purpose
To encourage a high degree of effort toward technical, educational, or managerial achievement in NDT through publication in Materials Evaluation and Research in Nondestructive Evaluation.
Eligibility
Authors of written contributions published by the Society in Materials Evaluation or in Research in Nondestructive Evaluation during the period of January through December of the preceding year.
Nomination
All manuscripts published in Materials Evaluation or Research in Nondestructive Evaluation during the preceding year shall be candidates for the respective recognition.
Method of Selection
The Non-Financial Recognition & Honors Committee selects the author(s) of up to one written contribution published in Material Evaluations and one written contribution published in Research in Nondestructive Evaluation each year, provided the author(s) has met the established guidelines.
Selection is based on originality, appropriateness & accuracy of supporting material, usefulness of the contribution, and clarity of the work.
Award Timeline
- The Non-Financial Recognition and Honors Committee will provide its recommendation to the ASNT Board of Directors during ASNT’s Research Symposium
- The recipients will be notified following the Research Symposium
- The recognitions will be presented at ASNT’s Annual Conference
