In the Oil and Gas field, contractors have been struggled for a long time by film RT work for piping, namely, huge number of RT films and inefficient those handling. Over 300,000 films have to be handled in a mega project. To eliminate this bulky film work, a robotic digital RT (DR) was employed in lieu of a part of film RT on an Oil & Gas project. As a result of introduction of the robotic DR, improvement of work efficiency was recognized because of free from film changing work and development work.
