Martensitic Transformation Acoustic Emission Signal Processing Based on the Information Entropy

Based on the theory of information entropy, the acoustic emission (AE) signals of martensite, which were generated during the process of its phase transition, were studied. An accurate descriptive method was proposed by collecting the wavelet packet energy spectrum entropy, analyzing infor-mation of energy distribution in the frequency domain, extracting the energy spectrum entropy eigenvalue of different signals, and classifying the parameters by using the energy spectrum entropy eigenvalue as the sub-interval of the amplitude spectrum under gibbs entropy of time domain analysis. The eigenvalues of information entropy can accurately evaluate the variation of AE signals generated from martensitic transformation.
