Optimizing Energy Level in Industrial Radiography

Since the day the first radiographic image was made, the energy selection process has been a combination of radiographer experience and judgment with trial-and-error experimentation in which the two variables, energy level and exposure, are adjusted until the desired results are obtained. However, over the years this sometimes time-consuming process has been simplified as various energy level selection guidelines became available. This feature presents a historical overview of these energy selection tools.
