Steel Bar Inspection of Bridges using Gamma Rays
The precision of inspection on steel bar and reinforced concrete defects has been gradually elevated to meet the safety standard on old reinforced concrete bridges. However, reinforced concrete presents difficulties in inspections. In this experiment, the gamma-ray inspection technique was applied on reinforced concrete bridges with known steel-bar location and size.
