Finite Element Modeling of Thermosonic Phenomena and the Effects of Vibration Frequency and Amplitude on the Temperature Increase in Surface Cracks
This investigation was conducted to review and identify the effects of amplitude and frequency of an external stimulating source on the heat generation of a surface crack area and its rise in temperature to a level suitable for conducting a reliable thermosonic test.
