Ultrasonic Characterization of Curling and Warping in Concrete

Curling and warping are phenomena that occur in concrete because of temperature and moisture gradients, respectively. They are physical displacements that can cause concrete to lose its load-bearing capabilities and result in cracks and failures. Ultrasonic testing can detect curling and warping, and possibly to detect the potential moisture gradient in fresh concrete.
