Eclipse Scientific contributed to the repair inspection of the NRU (National Research Universal) reactor, which produces medical isotope for the world. This facility provides more than half of the world’s medical isotopes. The requirements of the engagement included the development of inspection techniques, implementation, qualification, training and reporting. This paper presents the steps taken to achieve the inspection mandates. The paper will highlight the many challenges we encoun¬tered in achieving the inspection requirements.
