Intelligent Nondestructive Testing Expert System for Carbon-carbon Composites Using Infrared Thermography

The fuzzy logic expert system gave plausible results for the porosity, location and distribution that matched well with the results of the performance testing using advanced nondestructive testing (NDT) techniques. The system employed in this study can be applied to building an expert system for automated detection of discontinuities in commercial aerospace composites.
