Benefits of the Multiple-echo Contact Technique for Ultrasonic Thickness Testing

This paper presents multiple-echo contact techniques, which can be used to increase the accuracy and repeatability of thickness measurements in field conditions. The multiple-echo contact technique is not as susceptible to error from surface conditions or temperature fluctuations as first-echo contact techniques.
