According to the homogeneous assumption of material dispersed medium, one model named as equivalent sandwich layer model is proposed here for fiber reinforced high strength concrete. The speed of ultrasonic wave in fiber reinforced high strength concrete is transformed into the wave speed value in normal mortar equivalently. The ultrasonic testing technique for fiber reinforced high strength concrete is then constituted based on nowadays ultrasonic testing code. From the comparisons of strength between the model predictions and tests, it is shown that the ultrasonic testing method based on the sandwich layer model is feasible for fiber reinforced high strength concrete. This paper will be a model and method reference for the establishment of nondestructive testing technology for fiber reinforced high strength concrete structure.
