ENEA has developed a software acquisition system for nondestructive testing (NDT) in order to improve the research of new materials and components used in industrial and civil applications. The software uses computers and electronic boards. The motorized system acquires signals from the sensors, the kind of signal depends of the method used in the scan. The data obtained is processed to obtain black and white maps and/or false colors which highlight and put into evidence the defects of the material.
