We are asked often if one inspection method is better than another. Knowing that there are pros and cons to each as applied in the pipe inspection industry, one is usually safe in answering with a simple, “yes.” In regards to inspecting that part of the pipe now commonly referred to as the “critical end-area,” UT has yielded excellent results and continues to do so.
