Sizing Discontinuities by Ultrasonics

Amplitude, 6 dB drop, multi-wave mode, TOFD and phased array are the primary flaw sizing methods for ultrasonic testing. Of these, the most common methods are TOFD and phased arrays. TOFD is most accurate but requires a certain type of setup and imaging display.
