This paper provides an overview of the project and main conclusions from the completed research tasks so far, and the description of the tasks ahead. The first part of the paper concentrates on a description of the methodologies used in the selection of technologies and the performance measures to be used in the follow-up validation testing. The second part of the paper concentrates on the validation testing plan, which consists of laboratory validations on slabs prepared with a series of artificially introduced deteriorations and defects, and a field validation on an actual bridge deck. Finally, a brief overview of the envisioned electronic repository for practitioners is presented.
