This paper will concentrate on a unique aspect of the bridge for health monitoring studies. The real bridge is no longer in use and therefore can be damaged in the controlled manner. As a demonstrator it can not only show the benefits of structural health monitoring and the advantages of using multi-modal monitoring methods to the wider civil engineering community but also provide information suitable for monitoring of damage accumulation and possibly assessment of damage levels. Different methods can be validated based on a well documented damage history and examples will be present
