Quantitative Damage Assessment Based on Environmental Bridge Response

This paper will concentrate on a unique aspect of the bridge for health monitoring studies. The real bridge is no longer in use and therefore can be damaged in the controlled manner. As a demonstrator it can not only show the benefits of structural health monitoring and the advantages of using multi-modal monitoring methods to the wider civil engineering community but also provide information suitable for monitoring of damage accumulation and possibly assessment of damage levels.
