We will be reporting on the use of the Imperium ultrasound camera for the application into the petrochemical industry. Today’s NDI of petrochemical structures are largely supported by pulse echo flaw detectors using a single element transducer. While these techniques are well established and proven, they require extensive certification and training to interpret the output of these legacy products. To address these issues, Imperium has investigated the use of the real time low cost C-scan ultrasound camera for petrochemical applications.
