New Diagnostic Technique for the Detection of Electric Motors’ Damaged or Loose Connectors Through the Use of Vibration Analysis (High Frequency Detection, HFD) and Motor Circuit Analysis

This paper describes the development of a new diagnostic technique for the detection of low voltage electric motor’s damaged or loose connectors through the application of the vibration analysis method by using the high frequency detection (HFD) spectrum which to date is mainly used for diagnosing mechanical impacts and bearing failures.
