This paper describes the results of a field-test study involving in-situ driven piles using both the flexural wave and side sonic testing approaches. The original pile driving records existed, but the actual pile depth values were not known to the research team. A comparison was performed utilizing such parameters as accuracy, ease of use, level of expertise required for implementation, cost, and the ability to obtain information from individual (single) piles such as material condition.
