The purpose of this paper is to show the advantages and disadvantages of the inspection by means of ultrasonic phased array in a pipeline project during its construction. Another purpose of this paper is to explain the phased array technique applied to weld inspection to generate an awareness of the implications of this technique according to the needs of the project.
